Better known as The Iron Dome, this Israeli invention is responsible for saving the lives of millions of innocent Israelis. Engineered to launch defense missiles to intercept those fired from Hamas terrorists in Gaza, the Iron Dome has been of huge help to all Israelis; especially in the most current escalation of rocket fire from Gaza. As recorded by the Jerusalem Post, “Palestinian rocket fire from Gaza continued to pound southern Israel throughout Tuesday, with some 80 rockets landing in Israeli territory by the evening. Iron Dome made 23 interceptions throughout the day, shooting down projectiles over Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Gaza border communities”. 

A great thanks must be given to the United States as collaborative activities between the U.S. military and the IDF as well and capital financing from the U.S. Department of State have supported the creation and maintenance of the Iron Dome. As Israel continues to invest it’s money in creating missile defense systems, Hamas militants in Gaza and current partners in the PA Unity Government continues to fund not bomb shelters but rather uses homes, schools, and urban centers as launching pads. Yes, anti-Israel people will accuse Israel of using unfair military capabilities in their defense from Hamas and will accuse Israel of killing a substantial amount more Palestinians than they kill Israeli’s, however, you can defend Israel by showing that Israel doesn’t use its city centers as launching pads, and rather than investing money on terrorism, it spends its money on building bomb shelters and defense systems for it’s people. That is why the numbers are so much lower. We defend our people, Hamas uses their people.
